Description
This training class for new and prospective family support volunteers will be held on 3 days (Sept 18 and 25 from 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m. and Oct. 2 from 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) We have a special need at this time for DAYTIME volunteers. Volunteer candidates will receive an informative overview of the hospice mission and philosophy as well as the skills and confidence to visit patients in their homes, hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility. Attendance does not obligate participants to continue as volunteers. During the course of the training, attendees can decide if patient care is the appropriate volunteer opportunity for them. Other opportunities exist for administrative support and fundraising volunteers, speakers bureau volunteers, grief companions, and puppeteers.
