KIDS AND TEENS: Please bring photographs, mementos, or other small, meaningful objects that remind you of your loved one to the workshop. All photos and objects will be returned; however, you may wish to use the items in your shadowbox. We will make copies of the photographs so that the originals will not be changed.

Using the creative arts for exploring and expressing grief is often a healing experience, especially for children and teens. In this workshop, children and teenage participants (ages 7-18) will: Create a three-dimensional shadowbox to tell the story of their grief and their loved one's legacy (using some of their materials from home, as well as art materials supplied by Horizons Grief Center) Engage in brief writing activities such as journaling about their grief and about their creations Explore their grief and connect with others who have experienced similar losses Participants will be divided into developmental age groups.
