HOSPICE

Each year, Hospice of Wake County's staff and volunteers make more than 35,000 visits to care for more than 1,400 patients, their family and friends.

From helping families deal with a life limiting diagnosis-to providing skilled nursing care and counseling - to supporting family members adjusting to the death of a loved one - Hospice of Wake County is a Partner in Caring on one of life's most challenging journeys.

"Over the past two and a half years, (we) were involved with many health care professionals. But, only in his last two months did we both experience the most loving, caring, sensitive and patient professionals in the area of health care. To you who did it best - you touched our lives and you make Hospice wonderful." -- "From a Patient's Wife"

Hospice of Wake County offers patients a comprehensive range of care options for a patient's different needs, allowing patients and their families to choose what is best for them. Patients from newborn to elderly are cared for in their places of residence-their homes, nursing homes, rest homes, assisted living facilities or retirement centers.

Hospice allows patients and families to decide where and how they want to spend their final days, weeks, and months.

Hospice of Wake County serves patients and families with an interdisciplinary team that works in partnership with physicians to provide access to intermittent comprehensive care.
