Planned Gifts
A planned or deferred gift is a contribution that is committed to HOWC but which does not become fully available until some future date. One of the most common examples of a planned gift is a bequest through the donor’s will. Such a gift becomes available to HOWC after the donor’s death. Other types of gifts that are carefully planned can not only benefit HOWC but also maximize the tax advantage for the donor, provide income during the donor’s lifetime, and provide for the donor’s heirs.
Non-cash Gifts
Gifts of appreciated assets, such as real estate or securities.
